When I have lots of thinking to do it’s water that soothes my soul. Sometimes it’s the sea but she is vast and deep I find it can be overwhelming especially when I have a lot on my mind, although she is there in those moments where you need to let it out.
But the river…she is slow and nourishing, under her watery exterior she is an earthy goddess that slips silently over weedy rocks. Fish swim in some kind of motionless state providing food for winged and webbed. Her kindness lets thirsty beasts cautiously drink from her cool waters. She has always been there for me, to listen to my whispered prayers and swallow them, taking them down to the sea for me so that I may process them slowly. If you have never cried into a river do it! If you have than do it more. watch how the subtle way the ripples caress your tear and slowly turn it into something you didn’t know existed inside of you. I love the river unconditionally, I have swam naked in her current on a summer eve and floated in dreams on the back of river spirits staring up at starlit skies. If you wanted to find my heart it would be there, with the kingfishers and mayflies, dancing down the river on a cloud of dandelion wishes xxx

Welcome to

It is time to rest those weary bones on the earth and enjoy the peace of this magical place. This is a place I have known for a very long time and have gratefully been gifted the ability to recreate the creatures that reside here in wool, thread and words.
I really hope that my sculptures bring you joy and that my blog posts about The Whispering Wild and my life within it inspire you to help open your heart to my wild and creative life. Much love and magic xx |
