Old Radish The Hedgehog
'I heard a lot of snuffling and a shuffling in the garden so I crept out the door and quietly brushed by the roses. A sweet smell of rosemary smoke clung to the air and as I got closer I could hear someone whistling a content little tune. There I found a hedgehog busy helping himself to my radishes! I dare not deny him a few of those cerise bulbs as he told me they were to accompany a meal of roasted slugs. I left him to it and bid him goodnight as I headed back inside, his whistling fading into the night.'
Old Radish is a unique needle felted sculpture of a hedgehog set upon a handmade wooden box made to look like an old vegetable trug.
Each needle felted sculpture is made through hours of love and creativity. I am deeply inspired by the seemingly simple magic of the garden and I wanted to recreate that in this collection.
Measurement: 13cm from the bottom of the box to the top of the hedgehog :)
Sculptures are not toys and should not be given to children. They are quite delicate so do display them somewhere safe (away from cats who love a bit of felt!) and out of direct sunlight
