A unique needle felted kingfisher perched upon a vintage cotton reel. Please note this is a custom order, please allow up to four weeks before postage, if needed for an earlier gift do contact me advance.
Each needle felted sculpture is made through hours of love and creativity. My aim with this kingfisher is to capture the moment where they see the glint of scales through the water.
Although every effort is taken to make each sculpture look similar they will inevitably have variations in how they look. The cotton reel will also be unique in its size and shape and if it has cotton. Each sculpture is hand signed on the bottom.

This listing is for a MADE TO ORDER scrap bug. Each scrap bug will be made individually and as you can see from the photos shared they all have very different expressions which comes as a natural part of the process therefore I cannot guarantee a specific look. If you want to know your Scrapbug before ordering I suggest waiting for my monthly timed shop updates which I announce on social media.
Please choose a colour from the drop down menu, this is for the main body colour, either white, pale pink or green.
All the wings are made from fabric remnants so I cannot guarantee specific fabrics.
Please also choose if you would like your scrap bug freestanding or set upon a vintage cotton reel. The latter option has an extra charge.
Please allow up to three weeks from date of purchase for me to create and post your order. I will try to finish them quicker If I am able.
I will email a photo once complete for you, I am afraid I cannot make adjustments to pieces though so If unhappy a refund will be given. If you do not want a photo and would like a surprise please let me know when ordering.
If ordering one as a gift to live elsewhere please make sure to pop in the correct postal address at checkout.
These scrap bugs are created from the remnants of my sewing projects and have come to life through the odds and ends of my sewing box!

Each needle felted sculpture is made through hours of love and creativity. The air is heavy with swallows in summer, dancing above the wheat fields. My aim is to create the feeling of freedom in their flight.

This listing is for a custom frame that houses a beautiful needle felted fairy. You can choose from either a Fluttercub (Fox) Bumblehog (Piglet) or Fairy Bear.
It is important to note that these frames are made to order and can take up to four weeks before postage. The photos you see on the listing are examples. The nature of needle felting is that there is no pattern so try as I may to recreate them they will each inevitably be slightly different so please don't expect an exact copy. Each needle felted sculpture is made through hours of love and creativity, I give myself the time because It is time consuming but I also don't like to rush the magic!
The frame itself has been handmade and is open fronted (no glass) the wood is salvaged and each has a history of its own, This one is made from very old Oak of unknown origin but within the UK and has been planed.
Measurements~ 19.5x19.5cm outer edge 3.5cm deep
The frames come with a catch for hanging on a wall but some will stand on a shelf. Each frame arrives with a hand painted signature card (seen in last photo) that is attached to the back of the frame
