Creating a dream 'flourea alas'

I have always been a dreamer and it's a part of me that I secretly cherish. Ever since I was a child I have been able to converse with my dreams. Before sleep I would ask for a particular animal to appear or to be whisked off to my favourite place. I was and still am able to change and react to them even in deepest vision. I felt so at home in dreamtime that it often overlapped into waking hours and would leave me a little confused at the world. I would drift in between often at times when I needed to be present. This had potential to be dangerous in a busy world. However there was one place where dreams and reality could safely bloom together; when I was out in the embrace of my beloved nature.

As I have grown I've been lucky enough to live creatively and it wasn't until recently that I noticed how this has allowed my dreamer to flourish. The peace of walking for inspiration, sketching ideas, voicing my thoughts, sculpting creatures, photographing beauty and spending time communicating with myself and all of you has meant that once more my dreams are overlapping. When I see a bird I don't just see feathers. I see an eggshell, a nest, a branch, a song in the sky. These dreams are aching to become more tangible so with that thought in mind I began creating my 'flourea alas'

She is the bee and the story. A combination of earthly wool and airy silk. She has been hand dyed with plants from my garden chamomile, rose, anemone and buttercup. It is important for me to know the flowers I have used as 'connection' is a word that kept appearing as I gently created her form. Her wings are an illusion, unobtainable and admired by humans. I wanted them to be barely there. A glorious evolution best left unanalysed. The perfect hint of magic. As I write this the breeze is catching her wings and the dream of her appears alive.
I plan to make a small collection of these for my Etsy shop. For now they will not be available as commissions due to the unique and unpredictable nature of ecodying. I will however announce when they are available. She has been a long long time coming so for now I am a little lost for words and content in the dream.
